The Goods! Straight Razor Hobbyist Gallery

Wow! That is beautiful Al.
I wish it were mine
What a cool piece of history there, beautiful restore. I really like the honey horn, shined up real nice.
As far a restoration goes, this one was not too hard. The horn is just awesome
That's got to be the most see-through horn I've laid eyes on; gorgeous!
Me too
Wow, looks like Lucite!
Agree, it looks like plastic

One more with etching. Cleaned up the etching as much as I dared, shined up the back, polished the scales, original hardware used.
The blade did not "stand" so the pictures are on its side

Wow! That one is awesome. You know I have a thing for eagle razors doc. Now I'm gonna have to go hunting one of those for myself too lol.

I have been very fortunate to work on some very nice razors ove the past few years. I have seen several 7 day sets, some in ivory, some with craked blades and/or scales. I ahve never seen a tortoise scaled razor first hand until recently.

This is really an amazing set, complete set of Heljestrand MK31s in tortoise with intact blades and scales. The color is like cracked candy, real deep colors.

It was NERVE RACKING unpinning and re pinning them. It always is, I thought I was nervous with ivory but in the back of my mind I know I can make other ivory scales-no tortoise available.

I will post the pictures in spoiler mode given the number of pictures.
