Default Is MWF worth the price?

With the ceramic bowl, the price is really high. I know you can buy it without the bowl, but if I'm going to get this soap, I have to get the bowl. However, I could spend a whole lot less on a tub of razorock. So please, convince me to spend $30 more on MWF. You guys are not going to like me saying this, but I just doubt it can be THAT good.

I don't have the bowl but would like one. I bought a refill first because it didn't make sense (to me) to order the bowl if I didn't know if I would like the soap. I will probably order one next time.

The soap is well worth the price. The bowl is not, and I would not feel compelled to get it.

I was basically saying if it would be worth it to pay more than $30 for a puck, because I would love to have the bowl, and it just seems TO ME that they have to be bought together. If you guys are saying it's not worth it though, I guess I'll think twice.

If you like and want it that's all that matters.

Some guys would be satisfied with soap in an empty cat food can.

Try the soap first and then if you decide you like it get the bowl. Either way you can send it back to BST if you don't like it, but I think you will. Yes, it's that good. Just a note though, it is probably my favorite soap but I put it away for use during winter months when my skin is dry. My face tends to get oily with it's use in the summer. Enjoy your shave!
I could probably load Tabac on a Q-tip and still get a decent lather

I think its a decent soap. Better than Tabac, not as good as TFS. The new RazoRock line is said to be repackaged TFS. If you're looking for a good soap, thats better than 90% of whats out there and one of the cheapest too. YMMV of course

its a ok soap not the best in my opinion i would buy just the soap and not the bowl, that way you could buy some AOS soap which is a much better soap if you don't have it already. all so with out the bowl

+1 all around, the soap is ABSOLUTELY 100% worth the price and it's not even close. but the bowl is absolutely not worth $17 in my opinion, though i can certainly understand if somebody just loves to have matching things. i would just drop by any local place that has any decorative plates or bowls (tons of cheap shops in my local chinatown) and pick up a few that are appropriate for a shaving puck. if you can find an asian shop you are very likely to find a wide variety of bowl and dish sizes.

It's one of the classics. Just buy the puck & you'll be happy.

Get a refill puck, and let that convince you. It'll do a much better job than anything on the internet ever can, and you can be sure it is completely honest. You can easily get rid of it on the BST if you don't like it.

The soap is absolutely worth every penny. I really dug the ceramic dish, so I bought it. Totally unnecessary though. You can grate it into your favorite bowl or mug. I'll bet that has all been said above...

I bought it with a wooden bowl from Connaught shaving and it was less than $30.

MWF soap is worth every penny ... the ceramic bowl is not worth the asking price, but I bought one anyway. It looks pretty sitting in my shaveden, but its not really necessary.
You can get rebranded MWF in a wooden bowl from the GBKENT store on eBay ... about $20 shipped, with a 4 to 5 week delivery time.

The fat is worth the price. Ceramic bowl not necessary.
