    Default More new decants

    Just received from Archerfire:

Pen's English Fern (yes I already have a decant, this is a bigger one!)
    GFT Wild Fern
    TF Grey Vetiver
    Lubin Itasca
    Pen's Blenheim Bouquet
    AdP Colonia Essenza
    Annick Goutal Vetiver
    Etro Vetiver
    SCS Limited Sandalwood

    Where do I start?

Might be interesting to work up from the "milder or lighter" ones to the "bolder or stronger" ones, but keep the vetivers together regardless to see how they compare. There are a few I haven't tried so I may be off, well, I may be off anyway and it would be interesting to see of others can correct as necessary, but I think the mildest to the strongest might be:

    SCS Limited Sandalwood
    AdP Colonia Essenza
    TF Grey Vetiver
    Annick Goutal Vetiver
    Etro Vetiver
    Pens English Fern
    GFT Wild Fern
    Pens Blenheim Bouquet
    Lubin Itasca

Anyone changes to the order based on strength?

Hmm, of the one's I've tried I would have listed (mild to strong):

    TF Grey Vetiver
    Pens BB
    Trumper WF
    Pens EF

Although it's been a while since I tried Wild Fern (just got a decant of it myself though :-) )

Also just got a bottle of Malizia Vetyver. I may have to do a Battle of the Network Vetivers soon.

Trying out the SCS Limited Sandalwood. Very nice, three hours in and it's settled down quite nicely. I've had mixed luck with sandalwood frags - Tam Dao doesn't last on me.

How much different is the regular SCS Sandalwood?

I think I'd flip the Goutal and Etro around. The Goutal seems quite a bit more potent to me.

Well, I have 7 (counting the Itasca) so I could make a week out of it. (Technically I have an eighth but I would leave it out in the interests of this being a fair fight and all.)

The TF Grey Vetiver seemed pretty close to Guerlain to me, I'm going to have to try to wear them both one day.

The Annick Goutal is quite nice and very interesting, I am loving the drydown so far.
