    Default Favorite Sensitive Skin Creams?

Or maybe a cream that isn't made for sensitive skin but works well for it!? Only one I've tried is Nivea Sensitive...yes the canned goo...I was desperate and my options were low! So lets hear your favs!!

    NCSU wolfpack?
    LOL
    If so, great season!
I am a 60 retired Army type. I have no problems with sensitive skin. Actually have had your typical, full , heavy beard since kid.
I have been a fan of the rose, and lavendar creams. The old English Rose, is a nice mans scent.
    And good for sensitive skin.
I recommend a try of using, Thayers Rose water with hazel. with ALOE.
It goes on like a nice lotion, but not true lotion.
    Then your body lotion.
    I use Kiehls

My shaving sream, actually am using Trufitt Hill rose. I have used most all the others.
I was impressed with what little I need to get a lather. It is a bit of glycerine, and shea butter I believe.
Long story short, a nice, moist shaving cream.
The rose, is known for skin problems. And lavenders.
I have used Taylor Of Bond, Geo Trumper DR Harris both the lavendar and rose.
I am impressed with the TH product.
I feel men now, do way too much to get a decent shave.
Pre shave oils, creams, post shave this , exfoliate lotion. My feeling is dead skin washes off with soap, and water.
Have always used the Thayers, and kiels lotion, then an after shave, or cologne.

    Good Luck
    Nice day
    Jimmy

I'm a big fan of Edwin Jagger Aloe Vera, Truefitt's Ultimate Comfort and have recently started using the TOBS Jermyn Street. Only shaved with the TOBS twice, but so far really like it - no irritation and stronger scent than the other two which is nice - wife likes the scent too, for what that's worth.

That Niveas pretty good stuff as I recall. I thought I has 'sensitive skin' too, but haven't found any SC that really bothers it. Irritation of sensitive skin will probably more likely occur from shaving itself. Try Proraso regular and go from there (IMHO-----one of the best if not THE best) If you find you actually ARE sensitive to the shaving cream and not the actual shaving itself, start trying out other milder soaps like MWF, VDH.

In my drawer full of soaps I always have a tub of TOBS Rose cream. It's my go-to when my face is feeling beat. One of these days I have to order the T&H samples to see how their rose cream compares to TOBS.

It's tough to say what will or will not bother someone with sensitive skin. I have a friend with sensitive skin, yet creams that bothered me didn't bother him. He swears by Cella, yet some members here have had a reaction to it.

KMF is the one that will cause you the least irritation. Get the unscented if you have had reactions to the scented oils in other creams.

Second down for comfort (for me anyway) Trumpers Coconut Oil cream. Like smearing a soft marshmallow on your face

I second the KMF unscented. It is a great value at around $8 for a 325ml bottle and causes zero irritation. The lather starts to foam immediately but will explode into nice stiff egg white like peaks within about 90 seconds.

Real Shaving Company, made by the same people that provide the base cream for the 3T's and AOS creams, have a sensative shave cream that performs great, pretty generic scent but you can get for about $6 at Rite-Aid as well as other drug stores.

I'm gonna toss Proraso White Tub (green tea and aloe) into the mix, billed for sensitive skin.

Edit: D'OH! Didn't read. You said cream. Well, i'm gonna recommend it anyways. The Proraso white tub is a very, very soft soap.

I love the C.O. Bigelow Barber line of skin creams. Pretty light, not greasy and the price is right ($10.00-$14.00 for a 10oz bottle). I especially love the Elixir White and Mentha scents.

I am beginning to sound like a broken record on here but Arko Maximum Comfort may fit the bill for you. This version of Arko doesn't have the fragrance ingredients that cause sensitive skin issues. If you need a hard soap (I know you asked for cream but many of us use both cream and soap) that is easy to travel with then Palmolive Stick (EU) may work for you.

Exfoliation occurs with each shave. And regardless of what you prefer, moisturizing is NOT optional. My all-around fave true shave cream is still KMF unscented for its glide and lather. My favorite cream soap is RR XXX. My favorite post-shave combo is Weleda Aftershave Balm after which I use a bit of Weleda Moisture for Men. Next favorite balm is Musgrove Real Balsam. The only Nivea I could use is the now-discontinued Sensitive Aftershave Lotion w/ 4 SPF (replaced by a similar but not equal to the old formula lotion, and it's scented.) I bought 4 when CVS cleared them out for the new lines. If you're looking for an all-botanical lotion,Aubrey Organics makes a fine one as well. I've asked KMF if they plan on a moisturizer in the future and, while receptive to the idea, probably need to hear from a lot more people. Contacting manufacturers with questions, problems, and suggestions is often fruitful. If you don't ask, you'll never know!

La Toja Sensitive SC has a light scent and produces a slick moisturizing lather.
