Be there or be square. Only I can do both!
I've got a cat named Beefeater and a dog named Beefeater, and two goldfish called Beefeater and Beefeater. There's Beefeater my hamster and Beefeater my horse, and my piglet, known as Beefeater of course.

Wow Ian. Thank you for posting this. I had no idea who he was. Wiki spelled it out. With my somewhat late in life interest in classical music this is a whole new opportunity to explore music I knew nothing of. Sort of like when I "discovered " Andres Segovia a few years ago after Scotto posted about him in the guitarists thread. This chap seemed to be universally heralded as the best of his voice type. Pretty big deal considering the tough go getting accolades from the opera crowd.
Cheers, Todd
I'm glad you liked that, Todd.
He's not nearly as well known as the popular musicians who have passed recently, but if you have an interest in classical music, he's someone you should have on your CD shelf, for sure.

His interpretations of "Die Winterreise" have yet to be matched. By a wide margin my favourite Baritone.
