I've been wearing a lot of clubman vanilla lately so the smell is imprinted on me. Sometimes I just 'imagine' or 'remember' the smell now. I'll be walking around and the smell will pop into my mind. Normally my memory is mostly visual so this is pretty different for me. Ever happen to you?

Very often, yes. Pinaud Clubman has a lot of childhood associations with it for me, for instance.

I've heard of people being reminded of things by scents, but I haven't heard much about people being reminded of scents by other things.
I get that from Tabac Soap & Aftershave, I grew up watching my paternal grandfather use those during his Straight Shaves. When I was old enough to shave he gave me my first Brush, Soap & Aftershave. The Brush died many years ago but I still use Tabac which always brings back memories of the time we spent together.
My other Fragrances would be British Sterling & Z-14, the two mainstays of my late Father, no further explanation is necessary.
