I actually tried the reverse, with the blade being ivory and the tang/scales being damascus. It didnt work out as well...haha

Well hello there beautiful!Here is one that I am exited to be taking hold of this week.
This is a 7/8's, 1/4 hollow, razor with an ivory inlaid tang, tapered center section, and dovetails at both ends.
Geez... Bill Ellis is just awesome.

that shoulder looks like it might get in the way when honing. Please send it to me for "proper" dremel treatment! By the way, I'm going on holiday twice to Italy this year and getting married their next year. Perhaps one of the invitees will give me a good razor without a huge shoulder

Funny you mention that. The shoulder did get in the way during honing, it made a round trip from the US to Italy and it is now perfect.Alfredo,
