Three passes to one of the best shaves of my life! BBS except for a little spot I missed under my left jaw joint, likely due to my right handedness. And I'm really liking that little Omega boar brush. I think I can safely say I'm now a boar convert!

Post shave feeling of this shaving soap is just amazing. Just like MNSoaps, Mystic Water rocks. Before Michelle released her soaps with Scents and had a website, I PM'd her and got an unscented version a while back. It was great but the scent was missing. The lime is prolly a little more tweaked than the unscented that I got more than a few months ago. Some of the thickest lather i've ever encountered and post shave feeling is awesome! Nothing but Pros. Have a great day my friends!

However, it's vastly different in size to my 1/1 in super. So different in fact, I think I'll start a thread in the brush forum.

Thursday:

Prep: 31-minute pre-soak in swimming pool during workout, followed by shower, then start of shave some minutes later.

Omega Syntex brush, 90018
Wilkinson Sword stick, face lathered
Slim Adjustable, I-3, set at 4 (first pass), then 3
Dorco ST-301 blade, 1st shave
Target witch hazel
Nivea Sensitive ASB

I noticed a sensitivity to the Wilkinson Sword soap when first applying a wet brush, perhaps because of the density/thickness of the soap being rubbed in. With a thorough rinse after the first pass, and thinner lather from the loaded brush in subsequent passes, the irritation isn't so noticeable. A very thorough final rinse with cold water and a thorough splash of witch hazel, followed by the Nivea ASB, seemed to calm the skin down and make for a DFS to near-BBS.

These Thursday shaves are done in the health club locker room with a travel kit. I had been applying Body Shop Razor Relief, <2009, directly after rinsing and this caused irritation problems. Keeping a small amount of witch hazel to splash thoroughly before applying the Nivea ASB works much better.
