My first aftershave (at least that I recall) was English Leather Lime. In that frosted glass bottle with the green wooden cap. I loved the smell of limes. Still do. Alas, EL Lime was discontinued many years ago. The vintage stuff that's available on eBay is just too rich for my wallet. What I'm wondering is if anyone can recommend something close that won't break the bank. I've got on order a bottle of Shulton Old Spice Lime. Any others that would fall into the leather/lime universe?

Don't be in a rush to give up on English Leather Lime. It might be out of production, but it seems like there is a ton of it still floating around on the gray market. I bought a bottle at a big beauty supply store and I've seen it at big fragrance counters at outlet malls. eBay might not be the best place--check out a lot of the on-line fragrance outlets and something might turn up.

You might also want to just pick up a bottle of English Leather and add some Lime EO to it. I did that with a bottle of Old Spice and I have to say that I like it better than the Indian Shulton. Very much a YMMV thing, but worth a try.
