Default Different options for a close shave?

I have a shaving question, so I figured I'd ask here...I'm actually kind of surprised that there's such a detailed forum out there lol. Anyways, I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to what to the best options to get a really close shave. I currently use an electric razor most days...it does a great job on the sides of my face but under my chin it leaves a lot of "stubble". I use standard razors too, and they do give a much closer shave, but there's still a decent amount of visible stubble, and by the end of the day it's all grown back anyhow! I have noticed that with many guys I know, they you basically can't even tell they have any facial hair, because I guess they shave it so well.

So, does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not really sure how reasonable it is to get a closer shave than what I already do, but I figured I'd ask. One thing I had actually looked into was this thing called a "No-no", which I guess uses heat to remove the hair rather than a blade, but it's a bit pricy so I didn't want to jump in to it without checking out other options first lol. Thanks!

    Welcome to B&B!

Beard type and skin type play a large role. With fair skin and dark hair, there will always be a shadow visible from the hair under the skin. But traditional wet shaving works much better for me than any electric I tried. YMMV, but take a look around.

I've been an avid straight razor shaver for around a year now but I get the closest shave using any GEM SE razor. GEMs use single edge razor blades. YMMV...a lot of members here do not like SE razors but for me I can get BBS+ in 3 passes and usually w/o any touch ups

Read the Newbies' sticky thread, you need to figure out your technique, not buy new products ;)
