Try everything you can get your hands on- there might be a PIF going around, or someone on the B/S/T board might have a couple partial pucks that you could try. If the Shavette works for you, go for it! Wait until you get a good feel for your hand before committing more $ to your RAD.
The neck...what can anyone say. Many of us here have the same problem, I know I do. The biggest learning for me was that the hair on the lower half of my neck, to some extent, grows the opposit direction to that from my chin to my adam's apple. Then the sides grow sideways-ish. I get it. Map your face, learn how everything grows, and go WTG, XTG, reverse XTG for a while. i stopped trying to go ATG until a get a smoother hand. A little more stubble? Sure, Way less blood, nicks, discomfort, burn? Hell ya. That's a trade I can live with.
Keep it up, try as many blades as you can get your hands on, find what works for you.
I am hoping to acquire anything sandalwood, all help and information most welcome!
