I was shaving today with the usual Futur/Lord combination and finished up a couple of rough spots with my Schick Hydro and had the weirdest sensation..

Schick Hydro/Gillette Fusion is like a level 1 dagger, i could barely harm a rat with it.
Merkur HD is like a bastard sword.
Merkur Futur is a level 99 Dragon Slayer.

Sorry about the analogy, hope someone gets a kick out of it.

It's the "rusty iron dagger" you find next to the dead Kobolds and other minor level monsters who attack in swarms, right?

The HD is actually a "Fine Steel" Bastard Sword, while the Futur is a "Vorpal Blade", almost guaranteed to remove the heads of any ordinary enemy.

(And who can remind me where the line about a Vorpal blade "going Snickity-Snack" or something similar comes from?)

i don't know. My mach 3 gave a close shave (I was using a brush and creams before de shaving). I just enjoy using my de more and its cheaper. A 4 pack lasts me close to a 8 months (I carry a mach 3 in my car).
