    The absolute ONLY aftershave ANYTHING I could find aside from straight up ethyl alcohol was this:

    http://reviews.clinique.com/3813/625...ws/reviews.htm

    Which has a review on B&B:

    I have also definitively confirmed that the drug stores, pharmacies, major grocery stores AND the mall don't carry DE blades, and nobody even knows what they are. This is not a translation issue, they're simply not sold in Oaxaca, and there isn't much of a shave culture in Southern Mexico in general (for the same reason that there isn't much of a shave culture amongst teenage boys).

    Hopefully, this will do. I had a hard time justifying the purchase over ethyl alcohol, which was 9 pesos, and this, which was 350 pesos.

    ~~~Well, that's the nice thing about shaving using a traditional straight razor...not having to search, find & buy disposable blades for it=:-)
    No aqua velva?
    Good decision! The clinique post shave is top shelf. That's a good find. You paid about 6$ more than it costs here at Dillards in the mall, but I'd want that if traveling.
    Enjoy a good mole sauce for me. I can't find decent mole in Louisiana to save my life.
    I tried it out. Having no basis for comparison, I can't say much about it, but it's gentler than I would have expected.
    And you'd better believe I'm enjoying the mole. There's this big covered market near the zocalo, and inside is a huge meat and bread market with about 15 or 16 stands selling mole and chiles rellenos and then another alcove selling nothing but freshly barbecued meat. There's these ladies walking around with freshly made tortillas for 3 pesos a pop (or something like that) and it all just smells ridiculously good. My goal is to try every mole at every stand in the place ^___^
    And a gutbusting lunch for like 50 pesos (65 if you get a beer) isn't bad.
    Jake: Yeah, it's definitely a plus. But carrying the strop and hone is a bit of a pain. I think the next time I travel, I may just go DE only. I prefer the straight, but the damned strop...
    For straight-style razor you can check out the link where you can compare the price and select as per your requirements. And for travel gears, I would recommend you to check out MonsterBags online luggage store. They have wide range of travel gears for selection. Also they have sale running at their store which offers great discounts. Do check out their site for more details about luggage collection and sale.
    I live in the Yucatan peninsula and i can give you directions for where to buy DE blades or i can give you some. I also have some good stones if you need to touch up your straight. As a member of badger and blade i would be very proud to help you while you are here.
    Sincerely
    Sergio
    Wow thank you! I am in Oaxaca, but I will be in the Yucatan in a few weeks. I will arrive the 23rd of August in the Tulum/Playa del Carmen/Cozumel area for my friend's wedding!
