HAVE U ever postponed a shave because...

Hope all is well with U and your families. Have U ever postponed a shave because U were anxiously waiting 4 your new "shaving purchase" of the week/month? I'll start: yes I purposely postponed a shave an extra day or two last month when my very 1st modern day DE razor arrived (EJ89L). Immediately... I rushed 2 the bathroom and quickly prepared my moment w/ my beloved EJ89L.

So... how 'bout U? When was the last time U postponed a shave because U were anxiously waiting 4 your shaving toy of the week/month. If so... was it a specific razor? blade? brush? cream? soap? What's your story?

So far I haven't done that. Maybe if I just so happened to be on vacation and expecting a package, but usually I get my goodies at the office to avoid prying eyes.

There is a barber here in Ames that does old fashioned straight razor shaves with hot towels, hot lather, and a shavette (as required by state law). Some week I may let the whiskers grow a few days and go see him.

I waited a few days while awaiting my first DE (EJ DE89). Then just as you did I ran to the bathroom and shaved ASAP after it arrived :)

I did the same for my first DE razor which happened to be a EJ DE89 as well. I haven't done it since though. It turns out I can't give up a day, as much as I May be looking forward to trying out my new purchases I still love shaving with my already owned goods. That was a good feeling though.

Haven't postponed a day or so, but I have for a couple of hours when the postman is normally due....

I spent a couple of days camping a while back and so went something like 65 hours without a shave. Got home and broke out a straight. I felt vindicated in my decision to buy one at that moment- from "homeless guy" to respectable member of the community in one pass!

I haven't postponed for a whole 24 hours - but I've definitely waited for the mail a few times. If what I was looking for wasn't in the day's mail, I shaved. One thing I HAVE done - in fact I did it today. If I'm doing a restore or build and I think I might get it done that day, I may only do a one pass shave so I can try the razor out that evening.

Have not done that yet, but I have gotten POed at the UPS man for arriving 5 minutes after I showered! Oh well- there is always tomorrow!

Never. Haven't missed a shave since 2/14/10, the day my HD arrived!

I postpone shaving all of the time, but usually because I'm tired - l a z y - tired.
