Nasty shave, first pass was tugging and pulling,my prep was good, lather was great, only 4 shaves from the blade.I've had so-so shaves from this razor before so I'm going to retire it for a while.I had to finish my shave with a Gillette SS.It was the first razor I saw.Had a great remaining shave after that.

Gem Micromatic (bought yesterday and cleaned up nicely)
Montclair boar brush (also bought yesterday and bristle were snapping off. little hair conditioner and a lot of soaking seems to have reversed the process)
VDH Deluxe with a bit of C.O. Bigelow added
Old Spice Aftershave (OMG that burned!)
This was my first time shaving with a SE. Did a wonderful job except had a little razor burn on the neck. I've been shaving with a DE and have gotten good enough that I haven't anymore razor burn. I am guessing that I did this wrong concerning angle or it's the blades(CVS).

ER 1924, GEM PTFE SS (2), Mystic Water Sandalwood, KMF Mint, SOC Boar

Just had a bad lather day. When I can't even get a usable KMF lather going, I know it's me and not the tools at hand....

    Still...
Superb shave. After 3 days with an Old Type DE, this was a breeze in comparison.
