Default Gillette 7 o'clock Super Plat (blue)

Tried one of these for the first time last night (part of my sample pack) and I have to say I'm mightily impressed - possibly one of the best shaves I've had!

Tried a feather & a Shark SS last week & didn't really get on with either (shark was fantastic for a head shave but not so good for my face?).

Anyway the 7 o'clock SP blade was a joy for both face & head! Really smooth and a super close shave! All I need to find out now is how many shaves I can get per blade & this could be purchased in high quantity for my daily blade of choice!

Still got lots more from the sample pack to try but this is a definite contender so far

I just tried one over the weekend for the first time. It was pretty good. I found it to be slightly less smooth compared w/ a 7 o'clock yellow, though.

I "believe" that the blues are made in one of two factories. One is in Russia the other in India. Both types are excellent blades.

Yellows and Greens are made in Russia only and the Blacks are made in India only

Never heard of the blues coming out of India, just the Blacks (also labeled Super Platinum) and Greens (Permasharp). I have only seen 7 OC Super Platinums in blue cardboard coming out of Russia or the Czech Republic.

Blues are wonderful for me for head and face as well, but I find the Astra SP at 1/3 the price is so close that it's well worth the bargain price vs. performance difference. I find very similar performance, though probably 1 fewer shave out of the Astra than the Gillette.

So, the Blues come from either Russia or Czech Republic

There are two Greens - Russian (Super Stainless?) and Indian (Permasharp)

Only one Yellow (Russia) and one Black (India).
