Default Looking for a Lewis Bag

Well, to be more specific, looking for a cheap, but decent quality one.

I found this but I have serious issues with paying $14 shipping on a $4 piece of fabric: http://www.cocktailkingdom.com/produ...x_0000_ckx.htm

I found a link to this on a blog, but I don't want to drop $42 on one either: http://www.etsy.com/shop/McSology

Haven't been real successful googling it.

Just wondering if anyone here might know of a source that would run $15 or cheaper, including shipping.

Couldn't you get someone to make you one? It's a five minute job for someone with a sewing machine.

I have had these for about 3 - 4 years now and they look brand new.

    Great quality.

I've just been using a nylon one from the camping dept at walmart. $4. I'd love a canvas one, but I too won't pay $42.

I sent the cheaper one an email asking to send two in a $5 priority mail box. I'll let you know if I get a response.

Back in the old days bartenders used to use the cloth money bags from the bank. They are pretty strong because they are intended to hold a fair weight of coins. Personally I would get one of those and give it a wash. You could reinforce the stitching, if you were worried.

Those $42 ones look well crafted, but come on. It is just a canvas sack.

    Exactly.

Do you all find the nylon bags to work just fine?

I just got a new canvas money bag by sweet talking the girl at the bank. Sadly empty of cash, but still a score! I am just going to use that and a wooden mallet now that this thread reminded me of the lewis bag.

    Fun with smashin' stuff!
