I'm getting a kick out of people talking about another one for next year already.
Oh sure, I'd buy one at the drop of a hat....I'm just finding amusing is all.

USPS delivered #30 (medium nib) today - contemplating first ink color to use.....
Chuck R.
Alright, so I finally got a few minutes to take a look at the Herald Grande. What a pen!
I couldn't wait for BBB to arrive, so I threw some Old Manhattan Black in it. Smooth as butter. This is a great pen!
I urge anyone who was interested in this and missed out to highly consider getting the next pen in the (yearly?) B&B LE group buy. You may have missed out this year, but don't miss out next year.
I took a few pictures and this one turned out the best with the crappy lighting. But... left to right
TWSBI 540, Edison Nouveau Encore, Edison Pearl (clipped), and Edison Herald Grande.
As you can tell, this is one big freaking pen. Do note that it isn't as big as you think. That cap is big. Without the cap it is just a tiny bit larger than a Pilot 823 (also uncapped). So in terms of actual size, the pen, in your hand, isn't _that_ big. But capped it is a monster and dwarfs all of my other pens.
I have no real preference in terms of pen size. As long as I can grip it we're in business. This means the Encore works just as well as the Herald Grande (for me).
My particular pen is very subtle on the blue. It's mostly black with a couple of very feint blue swirls in it. If you aren't looking at it closely you will think it's completely black. I happen to like this, though, a little more distinction may have been preferable. You can see the swirls in the Pearl a lot more. The picture doesn't help much though since the lighting is terrible.
The nib is a medium and is extremely smooth. I'd say it write just as well as the #5 Medium nib on the Encore which I happen to love. I'd argue that the #5 is my favorite nib. The only smoother nib I've used out of the box is the Pilot 823 (a gold nib). Without knowing the gold/steel differences. You may not realize that there is a difference. This speaks strongly of the quality of nib that Brian uses in these.
I love the minor changes to the pen, the cap blends quite well with the barrel when capped. I'm not a cap poster, so I haven't tried that out balance-wise. But as big as this pen is, I'd say posting should be the least of your worries... it would be a huge ass pen posted.
Brian, well done sir. This is a fantastic pen.
To all of those involved in this, THANK YOU! I'm glad to have been involved in the purchase and cannot wait to do business with you all again for the next one.
I love the pen. For some reason BBB is kind of washed out...don't ask me why. Oh, and the pen is really big. So big, in fact, that it does not fit in my Levenger pen box.

#24 landed in Brampton Ontario this fine day. I'd call this another B&B home run.
Forgot to mention, mine is #28 and I loaded it up with BBB. For my first FP, I am quite pleased and enjoyed using it for a brief time in the office this afternoon. Next week, I will put it through its paces. So when is the next LE order?![]()

The gorgeous #47 has arrived (actually, it arrived earlier this week, though I don't know which day). Brian's photos are always wonderful and yet it was still a surprise to see the pen in person. A lovely creation! The subtle changes to cap and barrel make it an even more beautiful and comfortable pen than the "normal" Herald Grande - nicely done, Brian! I'm very much looking forward to inking it tomorrow with BBB (what else?) and catching up on correspondence. The unposted length is ideal and I'm sure it will be a divine writer.
By the way, what was the total number of pens in the edition? 63? (the engraving on mine isn't quite crisp and I have travel-weary eyes tonight.)
Brian, Andrea and Wendy: thank you for all of your hard work creating and documenting these lovely pens. As always, a pure pleasure and I am already saving for the next one.
Jim and BrianW, huge thanks to both of you for all of your hard work behind the scenes to make this excellent group buy a happy reality. It's been a joy participating!
Happy Father's Day to all of the Dads!
All of the Best,
Gem
There seems to be a real push for the 76.
I've not seen a lot of the #76. But i think it's a fantastic looking pen. If there isn't much of a demand I'll just have one made I think. But I'm at least 2 months away at this rate. I have more pens than I know what to do with and may need to unload a couple TWSBIs, and an Esterbrook to make room.
It is a fantastic looking pen. I just mention it seems to be popular (and would be fine with me -- it is beautiful-- although like the Collier I am starting to think it's a non-posting pen).
the "76" is a non posting pen

There is nothing like a Jinhou.
My Dad has a Collier and I like it very much.
The Antique Marble looks really nice.
No picture of these pens does them justice.

I could go for a #76 (or many other models), but I will certainly need time to save up pennies.. I have been greatly wiped out by vet bills this last month.
