Haha I know. I often have some variety of stout or porter in hand, so coming out with Lime Cactus makes me look both ways to make sure no one I know is standing next to me in line It is tasty though. Head and shoulders above BL Lime if you ask me (although it's not hard to make a better beer than a bud light product).

Did PBR chnage their recipe? I heard it was nasty malt liquer now, but that might be another label.

Favorite cheap brew is Tecate, although it's getting more expensive as it's being marketed as an "import" now.

Yuengling Lager is my go to. Miller High Life is my favorite "cheap" beer. It's also about the lightest thing I'll drink.

Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew, as they say. I like what I make too, more than what I buy at twice the price. However, if I have to choose an inexpensive commercial, it would be Yeungling Chesterfield ale, in a can. Cans rock!

I rediscovered last year's summer beer!!! Stopping by my favorite liquor store, I saw they have Yuengling Premium Beer for $14/case. I'll have to stock up when my cooler full of Busch runs out.

I agree. Yeungling Premium is a good "lawn mower" beer. I prefer it to Yeungling Lager.

Yeungling Lager for me in the cans. $19 for a case is plenty cheap for me.

Miller Lite, especially in hot weather. Ice cold, with a squeeze of lime in it, good thirst quencher.

Genesee Bock beer when it's available. It's something like $6 per 12 pack and is actually pretty decent, especially for the price.

One of my friend's says life's too short to drink cheap beer. And for the most part I agree. However when I disagree there's nothing finer than a Shiner.

Exactly... the price and price/quality ratio of my homebrew far surpasses any of the cheap swill available in Ontario, especially given the exorbitant prices (i.e., ~$28 for a case of the cheapest stuff)

I'm a big fan of Yuengling Lager when I'm not experimenting with the high-priced "craft beers." It's good stuff, inexpensive, and locally-brewed! (Pottsville, PA)

    [QUOTE=Kilroy08;4115100]What's everyone's preferred cheap beers?
    QUOTE]

I don't know about you, but I've seen Corona, Yuengling, Shiner Bock, etc. listed and that doesn't excactly fit the description "Cheap"...

Schaefer Light. $2.50/6 pack. No brainer! Of course a PBR Tall boy is a winner too...

Mmmm Schaefer. The beer to have when you're having more than one. I guess I should have defined cheap, Less than $16.00 per case.

Where I'm from Yuengling Lager is right up there with Miller, Bud, and Coors. $21-ish a case. Corona weight in around that price point. Shiner Bock commands a couple dollars more.

So far I've had the following at regularly $16.00 or less per case:

    Shaefer*
    PBR*
    National Bohemian*
    Milwaukee's Best
    Keystone Light and Ice
    Natural Light
    Stroh's regular and light*
    Yuengling premium beer*
    Narragansett Lager
    Carling Black Label
    Busch*

(* had enough to forget just how much I've had of that brand over the years)

A couple weeks ago was the first time I bought Natty since high school
