Every time I shave, which is almost every day. 3+ passes, almost no irritation. Feather Blades in a Futur.

I guess shaving against the grain is normal after all. Everything you read everywhere says "Never shave against the grain or a meteor will fall from the sky and erase every memory of you".

Me, I don't lollygag with WTG. I scrub, rinse, lather, ATG or XTG in certain sensitive spots. Thats every day.

Same here. I shave every day three pass of wtg, Xtg and atg. Never had any issues with it.

There are some spots I go ATG every day (cheeks/upper neck) some places I go ATG occasionally - usually only with a straight razor (lower neck) and some places I *never* go ATG (upper lip).

It depends on how much of a hurry I'm in, what soap I'm using, what razor and/or blade I'm using, and what I'm planning on doing that day. If I'm planning on working outdoors, getting dirty and sweaty or if the forecast is for super hot/humid weather, I do NOT go ATG, as there is just too much potential for irritation, usually a single WTG pass is enough for those days, as it absolutely assures me of a CCS and no chance at all of any irritation.
Brian - I think it would be totally inappropriate for me to even contemplate what I am thinking about.

Every shave, and with whichever razor I'm using. I always do a combo of WTG and XTG for my first pass. Then ATG combined with XTG, blade buffing and the Gillette slide for the second pass, and any clean up.

I tried it when I first went to DE shaving. Haven't tried it again and it's been 4 months.. WTG, then across, and I'm golden.

I also do ATG daily. Under jawline, but before the neck would not get close without it. I do the traditional WTG.XTG, and then the ATG. Followed by a little clean up.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.

During the week a WTG and XTG work just fine, I save doing a full three-pass shave, with ATG, for the weekends.

I myself find that if I shave against the grain, all the way to BBS ,I cant shave for another couple of days since my beard doesnt grow that fast.Plus,it gives my skin time to rest.If I must shave everyday,I usually do a WTG and XTG and call it good.

every other day i shave with these and always go ATG upper lip and cheeks
i leave my neck and chin WTG mostly to save me time but also cause its not important
upper lip area is the most important and difficult area for me

using several DE blades feather/med prep, it failed to give me a redness-free/bump-free face
with this setup my face is always taken care of

I shave against the grain once a day with my daily shaves as my final pass.

Every time I shave, usually every other or every two days. I only do it with oil though as a touch-up pass after WTG, and one or two XTG.
I had tried just using lather but the oil was much more comfortable and I don't get irritation as often. I also don't do ATG on my upperlip where I'm prone to in-growns and bumps.

Every day for me. Although I have to have a very sharp blade to do it. Astras don't cut it.
