    Default Cell Phones

So I almost lost my phone the other day. And I've found it by now, but looking into replacing it when I thought it had gone missing made me realize how relatively easy and cheap it can be. Previously I had thought I had to replace it through Verizon (my carrier; the contract is not up yet, so I'm still tied to them), but it turns out that I can buy a phone on eBay or similar that is compatible with a Verizon plan, and I can even call Verizon and confirm that it will work with my plan.

Anyway, I'm sort of toying with the idea of replacing my very small, but very featureless phone. Mainly, I just want something that I can synchronize with my iBook, in order to store and backup phone numbers. Camera, Video, Bluetooth, etc. are all much further down on the priority list.

Any suggestions? What are the wetshavers using for newfangled mobile telephones these days?

You can do the switch of your phone from the old one to the new one on Verizons website, as long as you are registered, which isn't hard to do. I recently did that on a phone I picked up on another forum, I traded some shaving creams samples for it. But I had to go to the Verizon store to have my stored phone numbers transfered. Got it for free but they usually charge 10.00 to 20.00 for it. That is my only suggestion.

if you have an iBook with bluetooh then I suggest getting a BT enabled phone and using iSync and the built in addressbook to keep everything going smoothly. I use it and its great. I'm not worried about losing my phone like some people are and then losing all the phone numbers. I just hit the sync button and it works. I don't know how I lived without that feature before.

Personally, I am waiting--and have been for 3 or 4 years now--for Apple to bring out their own cell phone. Its a matter of time. . .4 years and counting!

I like the moto razor but its just too wide to fit comfortably in the pocket.

    So I'm waiting for this.

ahhh the time isn't right for an apple branded phone... give it a few years maybe 2010... the market share has to increase first. But also remember apple usually markets products not because the public thinks they want but because its what the pubilc needs but doesn't know it yet. And while it would be nice to see an Apple phone on the market I don't think its a feasable product as of yet... gotta give it time if ever....
