    Default Jing Tea Shop?

I'm looking for some information/thoughts on Jing Tea Shop. I've heard them mentioned a few times in OOTD and was interested in ordering from them. I'm primarily interested in Green and Oolong teas at this point (although I find that a somewhat moving target as I try more teas). I've had good experiences with both Floating Leaves and Jas-e-tea and plan on continuing to order from them in the future. Does Jing Tea specialize in anything in particular? Is there anything they might offer that would be difficult to find elsewhere? I assume they are outside the CONUS but shipping doesn't seem to be excessive from them. I don't have a particularly well-trained palate and subtle nuances would likely be lost on me but I do enjoy a variety of teas and am open to trying different things. As always, I enjoy the opinions of fellow B&B members even if I only understand about half of it sometimes.

I've purchased both greens and oolongs from them. Never had a bad tea from them. They lean toward the mid to upper price range but their quality is always high. You can get small amounts which makes it nice to sample different things. They ship out of Hong Kong so the wait is not as long.

Do make sure you are using jingteashop.com and not jingtea.com. Different companies entirely. I've always been pleased with jingteashop.com.

Jing Tea Shop's most notable claim to recent fame are good daily tea class oolongs, particularly yancha and some dancongs.

They are one of the oldest serious e-teashops around, having been around since 2004. In earlier days, they were the main competition with HouDe for serious not-new (6-10yr) puerh. You can be certain that the vast majority of teas you buy from them will have a reasonably good price/quality ratio, as the proprietors have good taste and are quite knowledgeable (if you check out tea-disc and other email forums way back when).

Thanks for the comments. There are a couple of dancongs that I'm interested in trying as well as a green and I'll sample a couple of reds too.

If you are in the Market for a decent yixing they are one of the very few places on line that have decent quality pots.

I first bought pu'er from Seb and Jing nine years ago. I was one of their earliest customers. I've had the good fortune to visit them in Guangzhou. They're wonderful folks, dedicated to tea. They will not sell bad tea. They have my trust, and I wish them only the very best. ~grasshopper
