Fossil is pure JUNK!! Had a Tissot once too...Great watch.
Fossil is not even good enough for Wal-Mart. That's bad!

I've no experience with either brand to be honest so thanks for your input. I'm favouring the Tissot to be honest - it just looks the more quality product

    LOL!

I had a really nice (looking) Fossil. It had a clear back and face so you could see the movement from all angles. Gold-tone case, diver style but the bezel didn't turn. Nice brown leather band.
Rough-housing with SWMBO and the daughter, one of them swung and caught me on the arm just above the watch. Didn't think anything of it, but an hour later I noticed the watch was not running, and I couldn't get it started again.
It would wind and I could feel tension on the spring, but it just would not start.

Heh, I thought you would have learned not to trust fashion watches after the Fossil :p

Quickly looking through the details, the Tissot trumps the Armani in many ways. The water resistance, and glass quality are the most obvious. I would venture to guess that the Tissot is running a better quality quartz movement as well.

    Oh... quartz?

I'll stick with my Invicta. It looks nice, keeps great time as long as I don't put it down for 2 days, and I've had it to 140ft in the Bahamas.

The Tissot PRC200 is a terrific looking watch, the only problem I have with it is that it has a quartz movement - I prefer mechanical movements. I would like to have a PRC200 however and would get it with a leather strap.

I have heard some people complain that Tissot quality is not what it used to be, but I wouldnt worry about it too much. Just make sure you buy it from an authorized dealer.

My current (now wrecked) watch has a black leather strap & whilst it's been a good servant I think I prefer a change so am edging more toward the stainless steel strap
