Near Trexler Park off of West Tilghman Street. I moved there for school. I was getting an education in automotive technology and was accepted into the Mercedes-Benz Elite program. There are other campuses but that one had an opening and started the soonest, so that's where I went. If you're wondering, it's a factory training program to learn their systems and how to fix their cars. I had a great time while I was there (summer/fall), only thing was, coming from Los Angeles I was dieing for a damn burrito. I never found a Mexican food place the entire time I was there. Lol. Oh and the alcohol laws are far more strict than here in California. It took a little getting used to.

I had no I idea you had a Dove shavette. I'd love to give that one it a try sometime. The Progress seems like a good razor too. I'm trying to pick up an older Gillette adjustable to get some exposure to them (adjustables). But I'm glad you had that feeling of accomplishment. It does feel good.
Life is the means by which the universe understands itself. Happy shaving gents

I had no idea that MB had a school up here, very cool.

I hear about mexican food. Around 2005 there was nothing. Just a few years after you left we got a really good place that opened up in Bethlehem. My wife and I use to grab take out from there at least once a month.

I picked up the Shavette a few years ago when I gave wet shaving my first try. I enjoy using it, but when i went back to my Sensor I stopped buying DE blades, so the shavette made it's way to the back of my drawer. Now that I have a fresh influx of DE blades, I pulled it out. I hope to use it at least once a weekend. I have to say, using it this Saturday really helped me with my DE technique. My passes are now much lighter and with more confidence. I had a BSS this morning with 2 passes and little touch up. No razor burn or nicks.

I noticed that my grip have changed on my razor. I use "more hand" and a lighter grip, which allows me to do a lighter pass. I treat the razor like I'm holding a small bird. I want a solid grip with lots of contact, but I don't want to hurt it. Does that make any sense?
