Default I believe I am allergic to Castle Forbes shaving creams

I need some help. For those that are allergic to Castle Forbes shaving cream, what are you using now?

I am hoping that others with the same condition may chime in and get me heading in the right direction here.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Which scent were you allergic to? All of them? It's probably not the cream base, but the high concentration of essential oil used in them. CF uses more EO than any other cream brand on the market, AFAIK.

You are best to steer away from similar scented creams.

Truefitt and Hill do a natural shaving cream "ultimate comfort". There are several hypoallegenic ones on the market.

I've tried all 3 and have the same reaction. :(

Try ARKO or VHD. I can't use Cella straight I had to grate it and blend it with a puck of Willams to use it. Straight Cella gives me a day of Red Face.
I'm a ole Minister who loves the Ole South. I am an Arko Acolyte.

Then I would just stay away from any cream that uses an insane amount of EOs like CF. Luckily, there aren't too many creams that do, so just start trying about anything else. If your skin is particularly sensitive you'll find that it really is a case of YMMV...what works great for you may burn the skin off another guy's face and vice versa. You won't know until you try.

Try using a good pre shave cream before each pass - this will help your skin against reactions from shaving creams with high content of Essential Oils, IMHPO !

+1 This is a nice cream and the after shave balm is also very nice.

Send them to me and I will dispose of them for you :) That is a shame though. CF is one of my favorites and always produces a great lather.
