    Default Mug Warmer

Other than a sink full of hot water, is there such a thing that heats your shaving mugs?

You could buy a mug warmer. I know those things exist, but I have no idea where you'd get one, and you'd have something electrical (probably a cord) around all that water which would make me feel uncomfortable. Otherwise a large bowl of hot water?

    I use a candle warmer - $6 at Walgreen's. Works like a charm and I haven't electrocuted myself yet.

Here is an old post that had something similar to what may help your needs.
It was never reported on as to whether it was any good or not, I think from memory comments were that it was too big for whipping up lather.

I find the Moss scuttle best for keeping your lather warm.

I use a mug warmer that I bought at Bed Bath & Beyond, right after Christmas. It cost $9 or $10.

I use a 1.5 qt crock pot that is ~ 30 years old. It the wife wanted to put it in the trash, so I count it as free.

I use one of Ansgar's scuttles, see http://www.schwarzweisskeramik.de/enindex.html

They're big enough to whip up lather in, and heavy enough to just leave on the counter and have one hand free. They add an immense amount of luxury to my shaving routine.

I have a Moss scuttle as well. Great accessory, although a bit pricey for some. Sara Bonneyman makes a great product!
