I mix of true, false and misleading information. There are in fact places where it is self contradictory. Despite claims in the opening paragraph, there is little that is scientific in this material and it is mostly a collection of opinions. The most glaring one is the implied statement that soap contains fatty acids. It does not, at least not. Soap is produced from fats. Fat's themselves are an ester made up of three fatty acid chains linked to a glycerin molecule. Saponification breaks this ester, releasing the fatty acids from the glycerin and then combines each fatty acid chain with a sodium molecule. This means that chemically, soaps are a salt. The only fatty acids in soap will be the small amount of free fatty acids present in any superfat in the soap recipe.
There are other errors that those knowledgeble in the art will undoubtably see.
