So what do you like to keep on hand in your liquor cabinet, when you like drinkable stuff and you mean to keep to a budget? I'm feeling rather proud of myself that I managed to refresh my supply with three bottles, each of which was close to my target price of $10. My current stash:

Evan Williams 1783 Bourbon ($11) — Not the most complicated flavor profile going, but it's tasty, smooth, and better than many more expensive bourbons.

Old Overholt Rye ($12) — Still my favorite rye, although there are a few I haven't tried yet.

Gordon's Gin (1L) ($9.50) — Can't believe how cheap this stuff is right now. Buying a fifth for $8 seemed like a waste of money, even when I only want gin so I can fiddle with cocktail recipes.

100 Años Tequila ($17) — I'll never hit the $10 mark for tequila that I like to drink, but keeping it under $20 seems reasonable. I sip tequila straight about as often as I mix it into cocktails, so I always buy 100% agave reposado tequila. I could get this level of quality a little cheaper in Texas, but here in Mississippi, $17 seems as good as it'll get.

So what are your favorite inexpensive bottles?
