Finally got to Pasteur's !! What a freaking amazing store. I bought some Polsilver blades to try today but I live close enough that I will surely be back soon. If you are into shaving and live near by its a must see.

Love 'em. They're my local shave source and do I feel lucky!

And don't forget their uptown location at Lexington Avenue near 63rd Street.

I love this place. Also, my doctor is next door, so I can drop in when I get chest pains from spending too much moolah.

Teddy,I might need that doctor's name. BTW tried the Polsilver blades I bought there yesterday. They were very smooth. To me they were up there with lab preps. The price is way to high , 10 for about 6$,but I had to try them one time just because I have seen a lot of comments regarding them.

Aha! a theme park for shavers!

I usually come into Penn Station from upstate instead of driving into Manhattan. I can see where my first stop--and last--is likely to be.

One of the best things about living in NYC. Great service, great prices on some things, and the convenience factor is amazing.

Craig very true great prices on some things. The only things that seem to be a bit high so far are the colognes and aftershaves. The blades ,razors etc seem on par with online sites.
@ Stu and Sledgehammer they do really put a lot of stuff in a relatively small section of the store. It is really nice to see some of this stuff someplace other than on a computer screen and there are some testers for the colognes and aftershaves so you get to try some scents out as well. The most unusual thing I noticed were Derby blades in a orange wrapper. I will have to do a search.

I thought that their DE blades are a touch overpriced, but then again, I don't use DEs anymore. I was also intrigued by the orange Derby blades; don't think I've ever seen those before.

I think for packs of 5 0r 10 their prices are on par. From what I saw in some older posts here the orange packs are just 10 instead of 5 packs but the same blade.

That place is great. I was there last october when I was there for a visit with family. I left ny back in '97, if I was still there I would probably be there weekly.

@ jtb I am about a 15 minute drive and a 25 minute subway ride away from the store. I am sure this will not be my last visit.I am lucky in the sense my wife was with me and encouraged me to buy. So I have the green light!! I will be back.
