Guess that Quote PIF - A B&B Scavenger Hunt

To celebrate my one-year anniversary at B&B, I've put together this PIF.

I’m thinking of a quote. To help you find the quote, you will need to use the clues below. The quote is fairly well-known and you don’t have to be exact in your wording. I’ll be generous as I’m really looking for two key words.

You only get one guess! You really only need one guess as the answer is pretty obvious when you reach the destination.

When you send your guess to me, I won’t tell you whether or not it is correct. I will only reveal the answer only once the PIF is closed.

I will also not give any hints. It’ll be a waste of your time to ask. However, if you have a question about the rules or you think I made a mistake somewhere, feel free to ask. If it’s a valid question, I’ll post your question and my answer in this thread for everyone’s benefit.

It appears that I've made things too difficult. I've made two changes in red below. I've now put the clues in the order you should use them.

Remember that this is a scavenger hunt. What do you do in a scavenger hunt? You're given a list of clues/items and you use the clues to go to different locations to find the items on the list. This is similar: use the clues to take you to different locations around B&B.

Read up on cryptic crosswords..... you have to kind of mentally squint and rearrange the wording or interpretation of the clues in your head. There's a reason for every word and every edit, you just have to figure out what it is.

Here's an easy one... "Mistakes that puts school children back". The answer is "slipups".
Why?
School children are pupils.
Put pupils backwards, you get slipup.
What kind of mistakes? Slipups.

i may be showing my age a bit but,, in the tv series he would always get a note from the riddler. within the note there were clues as to what the crime was going to be. of course batman being as smart as he was, would get it almost immediately no matter how obscure the riddle was. and believe me,, they were way out there. (it was a 30 min. show) there was no time to dwell on any one subject.
and there i would be going, "WHAT? something about a tall tree in a forest, and time saving the liberty bell? and now you know what bank he is going to rob?"
"i wish you could just rewind live tv, because i want to hear that again".
