Super Speed Flare Tip TTO question

I have two Gillettes, a Super Speed flare tip and a Super Adjustable. Is the flare tip supposed to have that extra quarter turn to lock the blade down when tightening the TTO as the Super Adjustable does?

No, the extra quarter turn only applies to the adjustables. It's probably related to the spring loaded doors.

Which one do you prefer ? Super Speed or the Super Adjustable ?

Hands down, the Super Adjustable. The flare tip is nice and gives a good shave (much better than my Merkur open comb, IMO), but the SA set to 4 is just perfect for me. To be honest, I only have two months of using DE razors and am now realizing that you need to find each razor's sweet spot, but for me the SA gives a perfect shave without trying. I can get an equivalent shave with the flare tip, but I have to pay much more attention to technique.
