Default probably one of the most dangerous beast =)

    hey guys,

probably one of the most dangerous beast. the massive WALBUSCH B5 made in Germany, Solingen. i think it is the only one adjustable slant. silver plated handle and 72gr. nearly same size like a gillette bottom dial. 5 adjustable steps with micro-smooth adjustment. one of the best shaves i ever had.

at the moment my holy grail.

That's a very unique razor. Is it still being made?

    answer: vintage

one of the first products in 1934 [foundation of the company Walbusch (Walter Busch Sohn)] was the Walbusch B5. the company still excist but now the portfolio contains just high quality clothes (you can google the online store just type in "walbusch"). the razor is similiar towards the progress. don't know which one inspired the other one.

Here is a similar slant without the adjustable ring and next to my Hoffritz slant. It is an Appollo German slant with a silver/rhodium?cap and a bakelite grip. The longer handle gives a little more control and does not have as much heft as the Hoffritz. I do not use slants anymore, but do remember this one as being a very close and comfortable shave.

I love any pre-war German stuff that I can get my hands on. That is such a nice piece, something that I would never get rid of. Congrats on such a unique find and sharing it with us all.

If it was open comb as well, it'd be my holy grail razor.
