A decidedly 'maritime' whiskey with a barage of salt, oak, and floral sweetness. I have been blown away by this one. It could be considered a cousin to Oban as it's the same age. Clynelish, spends it's life prior to bottling in the coastal Highlands soly in Oak barrels.
It could be considered similar to Highland Park 12 as they both have a similar profile and both use 'medium peat barley' for a hint of peat smoke, however Clynelish is classier, smarter, more sophisticated and more fun. I'm really excited about this one.
