I got you down for GEMologist to win and Take Charge Indy for second. If your Exacta comes in I will pm you for the address and send your prizes on their way. Good Luck and this will be fun.

Sounds good, but you're probably safe. I think the old swayback nag I picked last Derby is still staggering around Churchill Downs! I live about 15 minutes from the Downs but have never been ther a single time.

    More on the "rose" theme:

Rosie Napravnik became the first woman to win the Kentucky Oaks today.
Good for her. She's the real deal.

I think I'm the first Derby Shave of the Day.
GFT Rose soap and cream, glycerin, Bulgarian Rose Otto uber-lather with the new addition to the stable. A Beaufort 4 Pure. Used a Derby in the HD Rocket compliments of Jake. My first shave with a Derby blade, smooth, not the sharpest. DFS. Touched up with my at hand Joris loaded with a 3 shave old Polsilver to get the J hooking done to BBS. Thayer's Rose followed up with some 4711. Good shave!

I used a Derby Blade this morning with my new Muhle 102 razor. I lathered up with an Artisan soap that contains shea butter that was purchased last year in Ruidoso, New Mexico where we enjoy the Horse Races at Ruidoso Downs. I am still learning how to handle this much more aggressive razor and the Derby blade was a nice surprise as I had not been impressed with these blades in my Tech or my Parker 89R. Today the Derby blade was a winner along with the shave soap and the R102. I got a "Smooth as a Baby's Bottom" shave. I followed up with cold water rinse, alum bloc rub, cold water rinse , then applied some of my homemade aftershave of Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera Gel, Glycerin, vitamin E oil, Aqua Velva for fragrance and Osage Rub for the extra coolness. My face feels great and I am now ready to pick the winner I'll Have Another won the Santa Anita Dirby and is currently a 12-1 odds so that is my winner. For the Exacta I will pick for second place Daddy Nose Best won Sundland Derby and Garret Gomez is the Jockey current odds 15-1.

Well, what do you know I actually picked the winner, but was wrong on the Exacta. It was a great race and I would love to see another triple crown winner in my life time. I have had the privilege of seeing the great Secretariat 1973, Seattle Slew 1977, and Affirmed 1978.

I enjoyed the roses this morning and topped it off with D.R. Harris Aftershave milk. Superb!

I said that after the race was over XD Wish I had a time machine hehe

Last time I bet on a horse, it was Varenne (The italian supercrack) at the trot mondiale event in 2002. He was about to win this, everybody had a bet on him...... in the last curve he got disqualified for hitting pylons.
