Just ordered one in blue/brown. It appears to be a thoughtful design, well-made. Heather, the potter, sounds delightful and seems extraordinarily easy to deal with. Big plus for me is that I can plop the whole thing in the Microwave.

She's even better to deal with in person. Just make sure if your brush is bigger than my CH1 to get a bigger inner bowl. But the amount of water it holds is great and the porcelain is thick and holds the heat well. The more I use it the more I like it.

How big is the knot in the CH1? I own three brushes and 24mm is my biggest.

    Handle height: 39mm

The scuttles look very nice, you both did a great job designing/producing the scuttle. Enjoy!

Thanks. I would make some small changes (a lip to hold in the lather). But it is a joy to use. Very sturdy and holds the heat awesomely.

OK Grips, now you've got me droolin'! I just did a google search for a local pottery person and sent her an email about doing the same thing!

Geesh, you shaving guys (and gals) are killing my discretionary budget!! I've already bought a lot of 8 razors, an order from BullGoose Shaving, and another razor from B/S/T! I think I've got RAD, and all the other disorders something fierce (I guess that would be termed MAD--in more than one way)!!!!!!!

Good for you. I think supporting your local independent business' is important. Whether your local potter or your independent mechanic.

Well i took Grip's lead and commissioned my own scuttle from a local potter. I am super stoked about it and will see the wet prototype next weekend. As soon as we get one worked out and ready I will post up pics!

Like Grips said, support your local potters. You might be surprised how inexpensive they might be!
