To bad my wife didn't care for the scent. But as consolation she gave a nod to 4711.
Sigh, and here I've just purchased a bottle of Blue, with plans for a bottle of Amber at the beginning of next month and you tell me that there is a third breed? Nuts!
Saving money? No, I said that was my Shaving money.
Thinking of getting a floid what is the difference between the suave & vigoroso. ??
The Vig is mildly mentholated and the Suave is not.

+1. They're kinda fun to have, and I love the Floyd bottles, but I'm not wild about the "powdery classic scents" either. I use Blue occasionally, but Vigoroso is a little too much of something for me, although I'll give it another try after seeing all these endorsements. My problem isn't with the "classic" (old guy) element. Proraso and Musgo Real are my favorites by far, and I'd label both of them as "classic".

Just got my sample of Suave today and the SWMBO and I have it a sniff. We both agreed that it smells just like how our dogs smell after getting a bath at the vet. Powdery and somewhat medicated. Not a big fan but Ill give it a try and see how it smells after it dries down.
When I first got it and smelled the bottle I was socked as well... It smelled like cough medicine. Could not figure what all the fuss was about. After using it, not only does it feel great but it is my favorite AS(knocking Proraso to #2 on my list). The smell is great and hangs around all day which I favor. If you don't like it to linger I would recommend Floid Suave which my understanding is that it is the same thing but has a less potent/lingering scent.
