    Default Suggestions for hydrating ASB

    Hi Folks,

I am looking for an aftershave balm that is very nourishing and hydrating as I have very dry skin. I tried proraso blue and tabac asb but my skin felt dry. Pre de provence ASB was better, but I wonder if there is something even better?

You could just add a few drops of glycerine to your aftershave? I add a couple of drops to the aftershave on my hand, rub my hands together and then apply as normal. Works really well for me, and I think others on here use it the same way. Or even add more drops to the bottle and shake well before each use.

I find Lucido very good at providing moisture btw.

I've found Nivea to be one of the more soothing ASB out there.

My favorite is the sensitive version. You can pick it up at Walmart or just about anywhere which is nice.

Forget the balms and get a real facial moisturizer. I use CeraVe. Daniel Kern also makes a great one.

Thans for the suggestions. I like the idea of adding glycerin to an ASB.

Primalan Finest Almond Oil Emulsion seems hard to find and expensive. Will definitely look at nivea and Every Man Jack.

Scented - C&E and L'Occitane. Pick your favorite scent. I like Nomad and Eau de Baux.

    Unscented - Every Man Jack.

Give Razorock Aftershave Wax a try! It's very moisturizing yet non greasy. Its the only balm I can use.

I tried RR AS Wax this winter, and I finally recently got around to selling it. I didn't find it very moisturizing at all.

+1 on the Nivea. Neutrogena has very nice oil free moisturizers as well.

C&E is very moisturizing and smells great (Nomad). Pricey but good and lasts forever.

If there's any chance for you to get it: Nivea Germany produces an excellent aftershave cream - a thick, rich and moisturizing product that comes in a tube. Really fights razor burn, takes care of dry skin and smells soapy, clean and fresh.
