rehabbing tired ties

Ok, so I have a few ties that have not had tons of wear, but which have gotten a little on the fuzzy side. I have one Canali, which is one of my favorites, but along the bottom and on its face there are a ton of tiny strings, and what looks like fuzz. I don't want to have to retire it, and the others that are suffering the same fate. Any idea if there is a way to rehab these?

You can always have them dry cleaned. I always get that little bit of fuzziness where the top of the knot is. I've gotten some ties dry cleaned, and they look sharper, but the fuzziness doessn't go completely away.

I would send the ties to Tie Crafters - http://tiecrafters.com/index.html Tie Crafters will take the tie apart and clean it, mend it and re-construct it which is the proper way to care for a tie.

I would not send the ties to the dry cleaners unless you know for sure that they will not press them...pressing is not good for your tie.

Thanks for the info about Tie Crafters. I never realized such a unique service existed. I'll keep them in mind for the future.
