Anyone strop on the suede side of a leather strop?

Just wondering if there are benefits to this, in addition to, or maybe instead of, linen or webbing. Pre-the smooth leather side.

You can do it like that. Some people put pastes on the suede side as well.

Sure, the Kanayama strop has a very luxurious suede side. I tried it after linen before leather on a coticule edge-very nice.

I do that. after finishing on the hone i first use the suede side for 50 laps then i switch to leather side.
Why i do that because i tried kitchen knives before razors. it works!
