Ooh, I was doing so well, then a "collectors' fair" came to town...

A very late Rolls razor in great condition, which came with box and full instructions, for £6

An alloy PAL razor for £2, and a brass "Made in England" copy of an Old style razor, for £1

What was a boy to do?

The PAL is for a friend who has been looking for a light and cheap travel razor, so I won't count that as my spend. And there's probably a 50/50 chance the Rolls is my birth year, and I've already had a shave with it - I'll post more details in the Safety Razors forum.

Anyway, I haven't given up - I'm just not going to spend a penny more than this £7 on shaving gear in May!

I'm determined to make it, but I'm going to have to ration my Nancy Boy Cream to stretch it for a few more weeks or I am doomed.

Ha, my sister came to visit and I showed her the Rolls razor, and she said she'd buy it for me and gave me £10!

So I've actually moved into negative spend, and "No-spend May" is still on!

I thought I would be able to make through May without spending anything since I spent so much in April. But I found the Feather TAS-DS razor i want online and then 400 Med Prep Blades And oh some Cella would be nice and I really want a straight razor....I need help I guess I'm out.

I had a No-spend March and so far this year I've spend a quarter of the amount I spent at this point in 2011. I think that calls for a little reward for my effort so I'm treating myself to a Harris shave stick this week. Baby steps.

Forgive me father for I have sinned. Last night a NIB Irisch Moos SS was posted on BST and I jumped on it, quite happy to get it. It was not until I awoke this morning that I remembered my pledge. To make amends for my sin I promise not to use it until at least June and I made a PIF to a posted WTB on the BST. Oh the shame of it all.

Yep, halfway, and other than the £7 that I'm not counting because my sister paid it, I'm still hanging on (but my PayPal account is empty).

Well damn, I just failed. My skin has been getting agitated lately and I decided to try TOBS Jermyn Street Shaving Cream for Sensitive Skin and got a Muhle 33 K 256 -Silvertip 33k256 Fiber while I was at it.

    I am WEAK.

Well, I went 2 weeks without buying anything. I guess that's a good starting point and base line for next time.
I am not wise. If I thought I was, I wouldn't learn anything.

Well, I've moved into the failure zone. Considering the £10 my sister gave me to pay for the £7 I spent at the collectors' thing, I reckon that put me £3 in credit. But I've just spent £4 on some 378 aftershave, so I've blown it by £1.

Managing a net £1 spend for a whole month would be a really good result, but... Next week I'm going to be in London, with 2 or 3 hours free in the afternoon, not too far away from the Jermyn Street area. What chance do I have?
