Thread: Tabac Cream

  1. #1

    Default Tabac Cream

How does it compare to the soap or to other brands such as Trumper and Salter?

I've never used it myself, but from all accounts it's not as good as the soap, and I would assume therefore it's not as good as Trumpers (I think Tabac soap and Trumpers creams are up there with some of the best).
The problem with Arsenal is that they always try to walk it in!

I haven't used it by itself, but I make an uber-lather with the Tabac soap and cream and it's great!

I picked up a tube a few months ago, and the cream works well. I have not used the soap so I can't compare the two. I think the cream compares with all of my other creams (Spieck, TOBS, AOS)
If it doesn't fit force it. If it breaks you needed a new one.

I believe based on the number of daily posts in the Soaps forum vs the Creams forum that this forum shows a preferance for soaps to creams. So it's natural you'll hear a lot more about Tabac soap or stick, but their cream is a really nice cream too.

I'm not thrilled with the cream and haven't tried the soap. Maybe with a few more uses I'll like the cream better but as it stands I have several other products I'd rather use than Tabac cream.

(Still want to try the soap one day.)

I use both Tabac soap and Tabac cream. I MUCH prefer the cream, it gives me a MUCH thicker lather. More cushion, slicker, just overall a better result.

As the soap is a great product on its own, that makes the cream OUTSTANDING.

In my opinion its better than its shave stick counter part on smell , both give good lather , but mix the two and uber lather city

I like it,has a nice scent but I've found it's bit trickier to get the cream/water ratio right compared to some of my other creams.

The cream is OK but it does not produce the same lather as Proraso or Speick or La Toja. It does smell like the soap but I cant get it to lather as good.
