and where did you find 70pax? That would be plenty for me. I've got a pending order for about 500 blades from one of our leading vendors, along with extra items like creams to meet the free shipping level.

But anyplace that is selling 70pax on blades sounds like its worth checking into ... I hope they carry other brands as well.

First 100 blade buy was for the Israeli Personna Super + Platinum (the "IP"). I went through about 60 (I use a new blade with each shave) but they started to lose their effectiveness for some reason, so I PIF'ed the rest (I don't recall the circumstances right now).

My next 100 buy was for the Gillette 7 O'clock yellows (they're almost gone now, with some provided to the blade exchange). A follow-on 100 buy was for the Red Pack Personnas (I still have some of these and use them sporadically).

My last 100 buy was for 100 Gillette 7 O'clock greens from India (cheaper than the yellows and nearly as good, as opposed to the Russian greens) and, after a couple years of not using them and trying them again to good success, 100 more IPs.

What's next? Who knows!?

Mine actually turned into a purchase of 800 Gillette Platinum 'Swedes'; when it was announced that they were being discontinued. By then I had gone through my initial sampler pack and there was nothing among the Derbys, Dorcos, Merkurs, etc that approached the shaves I got with Swedes. At my age, I have what is easily a lifetime supply now.
