Got Lucky!

Found a cased 55 Blue Tip with instructions today. I tell ya there is just something about those instructions that makes a find special. This one must have been used just a couple of times. Got a blade with the gunk around it still in it but other than that its in perfect shape. Do these shave very well?

They shave horribly so send it to me and I'll save you a bad shave. Obviously it has to be broken in. You'll thank me later.

Goodness I cant wait! Gonna pair it up with some vintage Blue Blades I have that are still good.

Awesome! One of the most under-rated razors out there, imo.

If I need a perfect BBS shave, I use my Blue Tip/Feather blade/TOBS Avocado cream. Home run, every time.

I thought it was a bit mild, and I'm used to a Merkur 34C (which I've heard people say isn't that mild, but it's a newbie razor, I would think it's fairly mild).

I just felt like I was angling it a lot more than the Merkur and it may have been a little harder to get everything with it being that mild. I am still not sure if my skin likes aggressive razors or if it was just too mild, it's the only razor I've tried other than my Merkur.

Either way, it should shave fine, I still could get a DFS out of it even if it took a little more concentration (that may be just due to swapping razors, who knows, but it didn't take more passes, just more concentration on the angle, it is fairly mild and I would shave cream off on accident often). Also is nice that it's not an aggressive razor, for me it was a cool razor to try out since I had no worse irritation (if anything less) than with my Merkur...
