    I currently use the following three;

At home I've been using the RazoRock spray. Prior to purchasing it, I used the Naturally Fresh Ocean Breeze spray. Both of these sprays are fantastic.
When I'm on the road, I carry the Thai Deodorant Crystal, which works great in carry on luggage, and also works great as a product.

+1 on the Naturally Fresh Spray Mist.

I like Aubrey Organics Natural Dry Herbal Pine deodorant spray.

    http://www.aubrey-organics.com/ProductInfo/408.aspx

It works fairly good for me, but remember it is a deodorant so you will still sweat.
It may require reapplication, and it may clash with any other scents as it is somewhat strong on application.

Your mileage may vary - it works well for me, but its not perfect.

I used to use Gillette antiperspirant and that didn't do much to control my sweating, so the Aubrey Organics isn't bad.

Before the Aubrey I used Tom's of Maine Calendula for awhile, which wasn't as good, but I would use it again in a pinch.

If you stink ... Trim or shave the hair from your underarms ... this helps tremendously ... It helps your deo fight the battle without having to switch all the time.

Great point! I didn't even think to include this, but I shave the hair under my arms and have for quite a few years.

This is a very good tip. I don't go bare, but I do use clippers typically down to a 1 or a 2. Yes, it works.

I have a hard enough time keeping my head and face trimmed, I don't foresee grooming the rest in my future.

I heard praise for this on Howard Stern of all places so I picked some up last week. I have to say...works great! Smells nice, keeps me dry and smelling good and it lasts all day...even in the hottest of situations. Thumbs up from me!

This is the same company that produces the Crystal roll-on that I get at Wal Mart. The roll-on is potassium alum. The ingredients are water, cellulose, and potassium alum. I'm assuming the cellulose is to control evaporation and help hold the salts in solution, but it also makes it a bit "thicker" so it stays put when applied heavily.

My only concern about "The Rock" line is it is scented. For someone looking for a natural product, that may or may not be it depending on what chemicals were blended to produce the frags.
For sure, the deodorant qualities would be expected to be on par with their other products.

^ This. The Crystal brand is working very well for me right now so I'm going to stick with it. By the way, I've just finished a bottle of the Crystal spray as I wanted to see how it performs in comparison to the roll-on. Both the spray and the roll-on is effective but I'd give the nod to the roll-on. The reason is that the spray has good coverage but it is more watery than the roll-on and seems to evaporate a bit faster. The roll-on seems to have better staying power.
    Cheers, Mike

Also, if you are interested in natural deodorants, I assume for health reasons, look into cleaning up your diet. When I was a raw vegan, I never needed deodorant. I however don't actually reccomend veganism. Give up refined sugar, grain, and dairy though, and you'll also need less. I can go without deodorant if I don't do something very active mid-day to build up a sweat. If I do sweat, using Crystal in the morning takes care of it.

Hey BigBull you need to check out JungleMan deodorant. Like you I've searched and searched for all natural deodorants that actually work and well this little gem rocks! It only has four ingredients and it actually works. You can order it from the JungleMan website ( http://junglemannaturals.com/ ) or you can order it of Amazon. Seriously give it a try.

Really helpful thread. Interesting how certain things work well for some, but not others. This has been mentioned several times in the thread, but the Crystal brand deodorant works great for me and my wife. It does not keep us from sweating but it certainly keeps us from stinking, even if I go an extra day without a bath (no, I don't do this often, as a general rule, lol). The solid crystal deo is what I use. Also, I realize some guys don't like to man-scape, but shaving/trimming the hair under your pits really does help. I generally shave under my arms about once a month. Takes only a few minutes and makes a huge difference.

VERY good point Rob. This is key and often overlooked...but your comment about refined sugar & grain (not soo much dairy for me, but I limit it anyways) is absolutely SPOT-ON. Believe it or not, I find when I exercise regularly I tend to also sweat/stink less than when I take a couple weeks off.

Yup. As my sister used to say: "I can blast through even the strongest deodorant." Well no longer for either of us, as we have migrated towards healthier lifestyles.

I also have a sauna in my house (infra-red dry sauna) and using the sauna regularly not only cuts down on the need for deodorant, but the need for soap. I just rinse off after a daily sauna in the cooler months, and go months without soap or deodorant. This year though, I'll be using some shaving soap at least. Also makes your skin a lot more healthy. This sort of correlates with your observations about regular exercise. I think sweating out the toxins regularly helps keep you from being as stinky.
