Those are not natural, they contain Triethanolamine and fragrance.

If you really want a true natural deodorant, go for alum rock or the only USDA organic deodorant that I know of: http://www.chagrinvalleysoapandsalve...anic-deodorant

    Some, not all.
He linked to the "home" page, and included on that page is the one I use (when I use the roll-on and not the rock I use for shaving)
    http://www.vitacost.com/crystal-body-deodorant-roll-on

He also referred to the "Thai" brand, which is listed as being only water and mineral salts.
Just because something does not claim to be USDA organic does not mean that it does not meet those standards. It may $imply not have been $ubmitted for te$ting and the manufacturer may not wi$h to pay the licen$ing fee to add "U$DA Organic" to the label.

An alum deodorant can't be certified as USDA Organic, even if the brand wishes to. And there's a good reason, to be USDA Organic certified a product must contain only agricultural ingredients (except water), which potassium alum is not. That's why no soap is USDA Organic, because to make soap by modern processes you use lye, which is not an agricultural ingredient. Perhaps, by producing soap by the ancient process with ashes, could be certified.

And I'm sorry cb91710, when I checked the link, I only saw the Lavera ones, didn't notice that was a generic search page.

Which means absolutely nothing as to it's safety, effectiveness, or even "purity"
There have been a lot of news stories over the last few years that have been quite revealing in how much "adulteration" is allowed for a product to retain the legal right to carry the "Organic" label.

The link you posted looks interesting, but I don't think I would want to apply a coconut oil and beeswax mixture to my pits.

Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties, it can kill bacteria on your armpit, which cause bad odor. Coconut oil is very resilient, it does not gets rancid nor gets mold.

How long does it take to dry to the point that it will not transfer to clothing, or is an undershirt a must?

I'm a week into using the Speick Deo I ordered from WCS and it is HANDS DOWN the best I've used. It's scent is hard to describe, but it actually gets better throughout the day. This stuff is amazing!

If you place an order and need to hit the "free shipping" mark don't hesitate to pick some up. I'll be ordering this by the box next time.

Much obliged. it does contain Propylene Glycol though, which I believe is not the best ingredient for the organs.

Update: Using Speick Deo the last couple days during the heatwave in NYC, 98 deg temps. Prognosis: Although no perhaps not quite as effective as other chemical-laden products, still worked pretty well and I didn't smell like a disgusting pig at the end of the day

The other natural deodorant I've had luck with and still use is Arm & Hammer Essentials-which has passed the "subway test" for me, rather well.
As for all the other "healthy" brands I tried-I might as well just not worn Deodorant at all.

I'd say that's pretty good with 98 degree temps. So far it's passed the test in Fla...but we haven't had "HoTT" day's yet. Again, its a deodorant not anti-perspirant.

I have found something else that has worked well for me...going on two weeks. I tried it, since Speick Deo is hard to get and rather expensive. It's Naturally Fresh, Spray Mist. The only ingredients are Water and Potassium Alum. I've tried all the other Naturally Fresh products and they not only didn't work, the broke me out. Each of them have additional ingredients and I'm not sure this is the reason - however the Spray Mist works. On the plus side, it's $3.49 a bottle.

I've used the Alum Block (potassium alum) I use after my shave for deodorant since 1978, no staining on my shirts and no stink.

There's something about using the same Alum for my face under my pits. For $8~ish, I'd buy a second...how big is that block anyways?!?
