Took a chance on the bay of fleas

Saw this on ebay last week, the usual 2 poor pics and 2 line description. But I noticed the case and thought I would give it a shot. Put in a lowish snipe and won it.
I got lucky, I won a 1952 Anniversary Set 52A Paperclip Rocket. Not seen many of these paperclip ones before. I am sure Achim will let me know if they are common or not. The blade case is right for the period as that was the year Gillette were changing over from the cream blade case to the blue ones.
Doubt I will keep it but probably trade it for something that I want, what I don't know yet.
But after a bit of TLC (still needs a bit more) it turned out to be a good example.............pics below.

Cheers Jake, I guess its nice when a hunch pays off even when you are not planning to keep it. This one will go to someone who wants it and the funds will go to buying another razor. I am at that point where I am sortin through my collection to see what I want to keep and just looking for a few up market ones. Although by the recent prices I am going to have to dig deep. Or find that magical find where to owner don't know what they have..........nice Aristo Jnr BTW I saw one of those one ebay a few weeks back but the razor pot is a bit low at the moment due a flat move..........new cooker, carpets etc don't come cheap........

Nice! I took a chance last week on a Gillette RR super slim for $20 plus shipping. I was suprised When I got the razor, it is in near mint condition.

whati is the difference, i thought they were the same? the 1951 set is gold, im i right? he has a 52 which is aluminum w nickel center bar and end caps.
