Wow amazing score. Will you hone it with 2 or 3 pieces of tape?
EXPECT success in every shave and the universe will certainly make way for that success.

If and when I hone it, I wont be using tape at all...It doesn't really make sense to me, to use tape. I havent on any of my razors, and they were all NOS(mostly Imps). Now, Im fairly new at this, and dont know much yet, but thinking logically, I would assume that its better to have the spine and edge, wear evenly, at roughly the same pace, to keep a consistent bevel.....Thats just what I think, it may not necessarily be the case...

You don't want it to be like how I won the first time I went to the dog track. That's for sure. I was sure I had a gift for wagering.

I don't know that tape, if applied well and monitored during honing, actually affects bevel consistency very much.

.....i am not an expert at all.............but doesn't tape protect the etching on the blade??

............it would be a crime if the etching was lost due to many honings..........

I put tape on the spine to reduce hone wear on the spine but I'm sure it has little effect. Over a hundred-year lifespan of a razor it may make a difference though. I have never put tape over etching.

On a hollow ground razor, the etching in the center never touches the hone.. However, on a wedge it does, and that would be on full true wedges...

This is true, however, hopefully you will hone the razor once and only do touch ups.

The edging should not be affected

I know how you feel, with the time machine razor. I recently stumbled into a batch of very old straights that looked like The Straights that Time Forgot! I don't know how some of these have escaped the ravages of history but I'm not complaining! You scored a beauty there. I keep meaning to put some of mine up on the BST but just haven't gotten around to it, with travel and such. Enjoy that lovely W&B!
