Default Looking for a Wiki guide

    Or maybe a sticky?

What do you all do when your SWMBO goes crazy and asks you to throw away some of your shaving equipment that you really don't need but reallllly realllly want and can't stand the thought of throwing away?

Is there a technique to getting past this roadblock? I suggest a wiki!

Have you tried putting it in a secret place out of sight? A place where she won't find it, and you can take out whatever you want at your leisure.

Does yours really not look at that many of them? I do have the razors hidden, but the soaps were mostly in the bathroom, and she kind of got very mad that I had 10x as much bathroom stuff as she does. It was in a drawer but she's the organizer so I can only hide it so much...

I think the common strategy is to put the SWMBO on the BST, to make room for more shaving gear.

We only have a small apartment bathroom, with two floor-to-roof cabinets each roughly 30 cm wide. I have my stuff in one, and she has her stuff in the other. Works out quite well.

Well mine isn't that valuable here due to her not liking wet shaving. Would you take a trade for a vintage

The solution is to buy more, but make sure when you bring in a bag of shaving gear in the house, it's absolutely essential, you have to do the moon walk so it looks like you're leaving with a bag instead of arriving. You're wife will probably thank you for cleaning out the bathroom cupboard.

I pack up a load of stuff in a cardboard box and put it in the mower shed (she never goes in there). After a couple of weeks I start bringing it back into the house bit by bit and putting it back where it belongs. Get rid of my stuff? NO WAY!

See the problem comes when you're in a small apartment, no hiding places, no good storage places that aren't needed :(

The trunk of your car, a locker or drawer at work. Lots of places to keep stuff!

I am lucky in that my wife only complains if I leave my hones etc. on the footstool in the living room for more than three days at a time. Or when company is coming over. The friends that come over unannounced are use to it. I have a rack of razors in the middle of the dining room table.

But even so, I still have stuff in my truck, locker and drawer at work! LOL

One compromise I have made is that I have 3 bins that fit under the couch that I keep stuff in so it is easy to hide but i can pull out my hones quickly if I am watching a movie or a race.

P.S. a while ago we were watching a movie together and in the background was a noise. She stated, "Someone is honing!" She was right.

Lol interesting ideas, although if I was doing something like honing or going on the forums while we were watching a movie....I'd be in trouble! :/

Threaten to throw out several pairs of shoes that are worn infrequently. Fight fire with fire man -- don't turn in your man-card!
Uncertainty. Something you can count on.

You could melt your soaps and pour them into glasses with a string in the middle... Tell her they are candles.

Put the soaps in a bag for potpourri.

    My mind is churning!

I thought about that but my first impression is that she is not one with 50 pairs of shoes!

Unfortunately she doesn't have so much stuff, but I bet I could find a pair or two she would flip out about, but oh well. Unfortunately she doesn't have much in the way of hobbies!

You need a secure and secret off-site location. You also need to maintain a low quantity of product in the house at any time.
