    Default Scrupleworks has arrived!

Yesterday afternoon I arrived home from work to see a package on the front porch.....I knew it could only be one thing, and it was.

I did not take any pictures yet, but the initial shot of it is here.

    http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthr...-sure-excited!

the box was beat pretty bad, but I was not suprised since it had to travel from Norway. I was like a kid at Christmas tearing into it. The packaging on the inside was more than adequate to protect the contents.

To see it for the first time was just amazing. That new leather smell and feel was grand. The Linen side is amazing. Tightly woven and has Torolf's logo gracefully adorning one end. The Leather side was smooth and supple to the touch. I can litterally roll this thing up it is that pliable.

Full Specs: Scrupleworks 3" Oil Tanned Horween Horse/Genuine Linen with Figured Horshide accent leather

Linen: The draw is fast, but you get a sensation of abrasiveness while feeling smooth.

Leather: Plenty of draw, you can vary your stropping speed and the feeling is consistent. very smooth, but again you get the sense of abrasiveness and excellent feedback. There is also a very noticeable sound to the leather.

In all: Fantastic, and I feel like I paid pennies for the quality in this work. If any of you were "thinking" about a Scrupleworks, stop thinking and just do it. An excellent Product crafted by a true Master Artisan.

Just because it's sharp, does not mean it's smooth.

My Scrupleworks Strops arrived yesterday as well. Craftsmanship is top notch. The linen components are already my favorite of everything I've used.

Ended up with a 2.5" horsehide and 2.5" Swedish Bridal (Strop is actually green on this - pretty cool). Horsehide is lighter draw, but still a little more than my Kanayama. The Swedish Bridal is fantastic! A good medium draw, but quite a bit less than latigo and the leather is really thick. I see this one becoming a favorite. Will get some pics this evening.

I love the textured black leather on the caps and handle... looks great, and unique.

Fantastic, now get yourself a Kanayama one to complement that one.
