    Default Pick My New Brush

I want a new brush. I dont know why, since I get spectacular shaves using a Jagger Best, but I just feel like spoiling myself. Cost is no object, except I dont want to pay for a fancy arse handle. In fact, since my brush lives in the corner of the shower, a synthetic handle is preferable.

Parameters. I only face lather. 99% of my shaves are shower shaves. I only use soft creams, no soap or croap. Id like something with a bit more backbone than the Jagger, but without super scritchiness, yet with enough firmness to give me a face massage......

    Thoughts?

Based on what you've said, the Kent BK4 will meet your needs.

I predict that the OP will be happy with a Shavemac D01 3-band about 24/50 fan, with Simpson Super any size or style he'd like, or with M&F if he's inclined to wait for a custom brush from Lee.

Would a Rooney 1xl or 2xl fit your price range ? Or a duke 2-3

Cost is meaningless, as long as I am not paying for the fancy handle. As to the Kents, why the smaller one instead of the BK12? What about the Chubby 3

Buy a silvertip from whippeddog.com and one of his hand thrown pottery handles. best $22 you'll spend in a while. ** nevermind, I misread the part about wanting some scritch. I'd look at a black badger. I love my Frank Shaving black badger.

    Default Any One of These

Of the Thater, Shavemac and M&F, my top choice for what you describe would be the Thater. That said, you couldn't go wrong with any of them.

May I suggest to pick up one of the LE's around?

    1.
The Semogue Limited Edition 2011 Finest Badger size 1 is still available, nice one with a vintage handle very good two band knot:

    2.
At Bullgoose, there's the Vie-Long Beehive LE in Super Silvertip.
I have the mixed version, it is a very good brush indeed.

    3.
Simpsons have a LE butterscotch M7:

I have one, it is excellent

    4.

If you want some scrith I would go with a Finest from TGN or a Blonde Badger from M&F

I'm addicted to placebos. I could quit, but it wouldn't matter.
